Our Rates:
We try hard to keep our rates as low as possible whilst also being able to provide the best tutors. 80% of the hourly rate stays with the tutor and we work hard to provide peerless support and resources for both you and them.
Rates are determined by a combination of factors including qualifications, experience, track record and time with the agency. All of our tutors have to earn their higher rates through results and feedback.
One you've been assigned a tutor, we guarantee that their rates will not increase for the duration of that particular job.
This is our base rate for tuition and we are proud that around 40% of all our jobs are offered at this rate.
As most of our tutors, regardless of their previous experience and qualifications, start at this rate it is often possible to get a brilliant tutor at a great price.
Tutors at the £40 rate will have proven to us their excellence and commitment, primarily through results and client feedback, to get to the £40 mark.
If you are looking for a tutor at a lower rate, please do ask. We almost always have options at different rate but make the initial recommendation based on suitability rather than hourly rate.
A higher rate for a much rarer breed of tutor. Our tutors at this rate are commonly full-time tuition professionals or have demonstrated consistently brilliant results over an extended period of time.
We only recommend tutors at this rate when they have a proven track-record with Torchlight.
Very occasionally we might offer tutors to you at £50/hour or a higher rate.
This is only done when a tutor's particular skill set, qualifications or the nature of the job force us to in order to be able to pay that tutor a fair market rate.
In this instance we will always endeavour to offer you an alternative.
